Volunteers are integral to Luke 14:12! For each meal, we need at least 10 volunteers to best serve our guests. We enlist both groups of volunteers as well as individual volunteers.
Individuals Individuals interested in serving lunch one Tuesday or Friday should contact the Luke 14:12 office at info@luke1412.org or 615-482-4123. You can also request to be added to our email list; this list is helpful in the event that we need volunteers in a short period of time.
If you are interested in serving lunch with us, we ask that you arrive no later than 11:30 am; you should be finished by 12:45 pm.
If you can spare more than an hour, we would love to have you help us prepare our noon meal in our kitchen! Our staff is small and the number of hungry folks that we serve is great. Volunteers can come as early as 9:00 am, and we'll definitely have something for you to do!
Groups Luke 14:12 regularly schedules groups to volunteer during our weekly meal service. If your group is interested volunteering, either as a one-time opportunity or exploring the option of joining our monthly rotation, please contact our office at info@luke1412.org or 615-482-4123. Our schedule is pre-set, so please contact us at least a month before you would like to schedule your group.

Luke 14:12 receives financial support from individuals, faith communities, foundations and businesses. Our stewardship of community resources, such as Second Harvest Food Bank, allows us to provide nutritious meals at low cost and volunteers from congregations, agencies, and businesses make it possible to perform outstanding service with minimal expenditure for personnel. Luke 14:12 is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation; all donations are tax deductible and are greatly appreciated.
