35 years ago something special began in Nashville. In 1983, at Edgehill United Methodist Church, Laura B. McCray, without ceremony or knowledge of what would come next, set two bowls of soup before two hungry individuals. History does not begin with fanfare, it begins in quiet moments, rarely marked or noted by anyone. On that day the story began of the 35 year ministry that is now Luke 14:12. And today that story continues - for people from all over Nashville to serve Nashville’s homeless, hungry, and working poor.
On Wednesday, October 24th at 8am, we invite you to celebrate three and a half decades of service, compassion and transformation at our annual breakfast fundraiser. This year’s fundraiser will feature leadership from our 35 years of service as well as a silent auction of the amazing items below!
