a life well lived

Recently, one of our long-time supporters and former board members, J. Lee Bonnett, (https://everloved.com/life-of/jessie-bonnet/obituary/) passed away.  It is fitting to take some space to honor her memory for all that she did for Luke 14:12. She was tireless in her efforts to support Luke and find ways to supplement our pantry with donated goods from grocery stores (most notably Whole Foods!) and restaurants around town. I was always amazed at the amount of food she would pack in her car for delivery to us when we served at the Room in the Inn campus.

She was also extremely kind and generous toward our guests and our employees, several of whom had come from the ranks of the unhoused prior to joining our team.  Whether it be finding a piece of furniture or a television, she was generous with her time and her resources.

It was an honor serving alongside J. Lee on the Luke 14:12 Board. She will be missed.
