Luke 14:12 is a non-profit soup kitchen providing free meals to the hungry, homeless, and working poor of Nashville. The mission of Luke 14:12 is to provide hot, nutritious meals to the hungry, homeless and working poor of the Nashville area. Luke 14:12 was founded in 1983 and is Nashville’s longest running soup kitchen providing over 37,000 meals to hungry individuals.
Luke 14:12 serves lunch at noon every Monday, Tuesday, and Friday, and the 2nd Wednesday of each month in the dining room at Room In The Inn. We are located at 705 Drexel St, Nashville, TN 37203.
We are a soup kitchen that doesn't serve soup! Instead, each meal includes an entree, a carbohydrate, vegetables, salad, fruit, dessert, and a beverage. Meals are served restaurant-style, with volunteers serving our guests at their tables, to over 250 of Nashville's hungry, homeless, and working poor.
Our meals are prepared by Luke 14:12's small staff, who participate in our G.R.O.W. Program. All of our kitchen and dining room staff have struggled with chronic homelessness.
